About Strategic Capital Solutions

Strategic Capital Solutions is a specialist team operating at the crossroads of investment banking, private credit, and structured equity fundraising advisory. The team works with corporates, investors, and financial sponsors to design capital solutions, run fundraising processes, and create value through strategic transactions. It is active in the rapidly growing private credit market in Asia and offers exposure to the pace and profile of investment banking advisory within a large global firm.

Role Overview

As a Strategic Capital Solutions intern, you will work closely with Directors, Managers, and Associates across the full transaction process, from origination through execution. The role offers practical exposure to live deals and the chance to build technical, analytical, and commercial capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the team across the entire deal cycle, from originating opportunities to executing live transactions, while learning directly from senior deal professionals.
• Assist in identifying potential business opportunities and contribute to the preparation of pitch materials for clients and investors.
• Help build financial models and carry out detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Draft marketing materials such as teasers and Confidential Information Memoranda to support fundraising and capital-raising mandates.
• Research industries, companies, and capital markets, then turn findings into insights that shape transaction strategy and investor targeting.
• Take part in structured training on private credit, financial modelling, advanced Excel use, and MS Office productivity tools.
• Learn through direct coaching, mentorship, and feedback from experienced professionals throughout the internship.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline at a local or overseas university.
• A strong academic record is preferred, typically at least a 2nd Class Upper Honours standard or equivalent.
• Previous internship experience in Corporate Finance or Investment Banking would be an advantage.
• Interest in investment banking, private credit, private equity, or M&A advisory is important for success in the role.
• Strong capability in financial modelling, valuation, and MS Office tools is highly desirable.
• Applicants should be able to analyse complex information, draw commercially sound conclusions, and present ideas clearly.
• The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, resilient, adaptable, and able to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are needed, including confidence in speaking with senior professionals.
• A collaborative mindset with an entrepreneurial approach is expected.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus for cross-border work across Asia and beyond.
• Familiarity with AI and generative AI tools is highly desirable.
