Role Summary

This role supports the organization’s data governance and data management initiatives, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, data quality, metadata, privacy, and enterprise-wide data controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help execute the enterprise data management and governance roadmap in line with NDMO expectations.
  • Assist in building, applying, and maintaining governance policies, frameworks, and operating procedures.
  • Support daily data handling practices that align with PDPL and broader data protection obligations.
  • Run and monitor data quality activities, including KPI tracking and support for Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
  • Coordinate data sharing requests, approvals, and supporting records and documentation.
  • Keep metadata, lineage, glossary, catalog, and ownership records current across business domains.
  • Contribute to Master Data Management activities aimed at improving data consistency and accuracy.
  • Assist with data lifecycle, classification, and retention controls.
  • Support the implementation and upkeep of data governance, catalog, and discovery tools.
  • Maintain RoPA and privacy-related documentation, and help carry out PIA/TIA assessments.
  • Review data sharing agreements and DPAs together with the Legal team.
  • Contribute to AI data governance efforts so that data used in AI is managed compliantly and responsibly.
  • Support audits and NDMO compliance reviews by preparing evidence and required documentation.
  • Work closely with Business, IT, Security, and Risk stakeholders to reinforce governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Certifications

Certifications such as CDMP, CIPP, or CIPM are preferred.

Experience

1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience is required.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of data governance concepts and DAMA-DMBOK principles
  • Practical exposure to data quality, metadata management, and lifecycle controls
  • Working knowledge of PDPL and privacy compliance requirements
  • Understanding of data sharing workflows and governance checks
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, or Purview
  • Ability to work with dashboards and reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau
