Job description

Overview

A well-established not-for-profit organisation, based in the Wirral/Liverpool region, is undergoing a significant digital transformation, with a focus on enhancing its data and reporting capabilities. They are recruiting a Data & Insight Analyst to join their expanding team. This role emphasizes partnership with various teams across the organisation to deliver data-driven solutions that impact decision-making, rather than isolated technical work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consulting stakeholders from different business units to understand their reporting needs.
  • Creating, developing, and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Converting unprocessed data into clear and useful business insights.
  • Advancing digital transformation through continuous improvement of reporting tools.
  • Preparing statutory and regulatory reports for external organisations.
  • Handling ad hoc reporting requirements and data extraction tasks.
  • Explaining technical insights in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate possesses at least two years of practical experience working with Power BI and takes full responsibility for reports from initial requirements gathering to delivery. Experience with DAX calculations, stakeholder communication, and producing business or statutory reports are valuable. Working knowledge or background in healthcare, charity, or public sectors would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the reasons behind data requests and deliver actionable insight that creates business value.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving reporting demands.
  • Committed to owning and refining Power BI dashboards over time.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary at £37,000 per year.
  • Planned salary increments to about £40,000 in two years and approximately £43,000 by four years.
  • Hybrid work schedule with three days on-site in Liverpool and two days remote.
  • Supportive, cooperative team environment.
  • Opportunity to participate in impactful projects influencing the organisation’s success.
