Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for leading data governance and quality oversight for decision-making in Qatar. The role focuses on establishing clear data accountability, improving confidence in KPI reporting, and ensuring data is fit for both analytics and AI-driven use cases.
Data Ownership and Accountability
- Create and maintain a clear model for data ownership and accountability.
- Make sure every KPI and AI feature has a clearly assigned data owner.
- Serve as the ultimate authority on the data used for Observatory decisions.
Governance for Data Maturity and Decision Confidence
- Oversee the maturity of data that supports KPI interpretation and performance tracking.
- Evaluate the steadiness, consistency, and historical reliability of data.
- Explain confidence levels and any known limits of the data to decision-makers.
Data Governance for AI and Decision Intelligence
- Review whether data is suitable for AI model training and inference.
- Identify and assess risks including bias, data leakage, and unstable features.
- Provide data authority input to support AI accreditation decisions.
Education and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as DAMA/CDMP or an equivalent credential are preferred.
