Role Overview
Watco is hiring a Data Entry Specialist to support terminal operations in Houston, Texas. The role is centered on accurate customer and account data entry, verification, and record maintenance while following strict standards for safety and confidentiality. It also involves steady communication with Account Managers and Vessel Coordinators, prompt handling of releases and inbound records, and keeping daily work logs updated in real time.
Work Location and Schedule
Location: 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015
Hours: Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call coverage as scheduled. The position also participates in weekly and weekend on-call rotations.
Starting pay: $23 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day terminal activities through accurate data handling, process coordination, and documentation. This includes working closely with internal teams, following operating procedures, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Keep all shared information confidential
- Follow company safety rules and report any safety concerns immediately
- Deliver professional, friendly service with a strong work ethic
- Understand terminal operating processes and capabilities
- Maintain clear communication with Account Managers and Vessel Coordinators to address requirements and instructions
- Enter customer releases, inbounds, and uploads into the TOS system according to process and customer-specific directions
- Make sure inbounds and releases are recorded promptly using FIFO order, except when handling HOT requests
- Review customer and account entries for accuracy and correct, remove, or re-enter data when needed
- Update the Data Entry Log in real time as tasks are completed
- Complete any other duties assigned
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Have strong organization and time management abilities
- Communicate effectively in writing and speaking
- Adapt to changing operating conditions and work well with a team
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Be able to sit at a computer for extended periods
- Be available for weekly and weekend on-call rotations
- Be dependable, punctual, and consistent in work habits
- Hold a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one after being hired
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
