Overview

Reporting to the Business Intelligence team under general guidance, the Data and Reporting Analyst II is responsible for creating and managing dashboards, reports, and financial analyses that support data-driven decision-making by business leaders. The role also contributes to AI initiatives aimed at enhancing enterprise analytics and automation capabilities. Collaboration across departments is key to defining metrics, answering business questions through reporting solutions, and delivering insights via automated and scalable data products. The analyst independently oversees maintenance and enhancement of existing datasets and reports to guarantee dependable access for users, while engaging in AI-related projects to improve forecasting and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards and repetitive reports covering revenue, margin, pipeline, churn, operating and capital expenditures, capacity, and KPIs to aid leadership decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to determine requirements, define success criteria, document metrics, and translate business needs into adaptable BI solutions.
  • Conduct financial and operational data analyses including variance, trend, and cohort examinations and ad hoc modeling, communicating insights, causal factors, and actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain and monitor current datasets, data models, and reporting tools; ensure data refresh and quality; troubleshoot to sustain reliable user performance.
  • Develop and enhance self-service reporting capabilities with supporting documentation, templates, and targeted user training to increase adoption and reporting consistency.
  • Identify and implement AI and automation use cases such as anomaly detection, narrative insight generation, enhanced forecasting, and workflow automation in partnership with BI and IT teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies in the management of sensitive financial and customer data.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, MIS, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in analytics, BI, or related analytical roles including financial planning & analysis or accounting/finance.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including creating complex formulas, pivot tables, and performing detailed data analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools—preferably Power BI—including dashboard creation, report development, data modeling, and semantic layers.
  • Experience managing all phases of stakeholder-facing dashboard/report lifecycle: intake, design, build, validation, deployment, and iterations.
  • Ability to influence metric definitions, standardize KPIs, and establish reporting governance through stakeholder collaboration and business rule documentation.
  • Proficient in SQL and understanding of relational databases for querying, validating, and cross-source data reconciliation.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences, with effective verbal and written abilities.
  • Highly organized, capable of balancing multiple tasks and delivering accurate outputs within timelines.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with FP&A functions such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Expertise in Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and best practices in data modeling.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT workflows, and version-controlled BI development processes.
  • Experience utilizing generative AI tools like Microsoft Copilot or Claude to improve analysis speed, automate reporting, create narrative insights, or prototype AI and automation use cases.
  • Understanding of GAAP principles and ability to reconcile financials across different systems.

Compensation

The company promotes pay transparency and equity. The wage range for this position is approximately $55,500 to $90,535 annually. The exact offer will depend on skills, experience, location, and organizational factors.
