About DataAIT Technologies
DataAIT Technologies, located in Melbourne, VIC, is inviting an experienced Data Analyst for a contract position that offers hybrid and remote work options. The role focuses on developing comprehensive data analytics solutions within the Microsoft Azure data lakehouse ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage data transformation across the Medallion Architecture layers: Bronze (raw data ingestion), Silver (cleansing and enrichment), and Gold (aggregated data for reporting).
- Create and oversee end-to-end data pipelines utilizing Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Develop, optimize, and maintain interactive, high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports sourcing data from the Gold layer.
- Analyze intricate datasets to uncover trends and insights; design scalable dimensional data models.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance with security standards throughout all stages of data processing and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven background as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Developer within a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge and application of Medallion Architecture within lakehouse data environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI development, including advanced DAX scripting, Power Query (M language), row-level security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent SQL capabilities for querying and validating both structured and semi-structured data.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate), or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate).
- Experience working in professional service or IT consulting frameworks.
