Job Overview
The Data Analyst is instrumental in converting intricate supply chain datasets into meaningful insights that drive the optimization of logistics processes. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data applying statistical methods to produce business reports.
- Design and implement databases, data collection frameworks, and analytic methodologies to improve statistical effectiveness and quality.
- Gather data from both primary and secondary origins while preserving data system integrity.
- Detect, study, and explain trends or patterns within complex transportation and supply chain data.
- Cleanse data by examining reports and performance metrics to identify and address discrepancies.
- Work closely with management and operational teams to align data analysis with business and information priorities.
- Create visual data representations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Seek avenues for enhancing processes and cutting costs based on analytical findings.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in business analytics.
- Strong proficiency with reporting tools and databases, including SQL; programming skills are highly preferred.
- Expertise in data modeling, database structuring, data mining, and customer segmentation.
- Solid background in statistics and experience using statistical software like Excel, SPSS, or SAS.
- Highly analytical with meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Adept in query writing, report development, and clear presentation of results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in the logistics or transportation sector is a significant benefit.
