Data Analyst, Regional BI & Planning

This position sits within regional business intelligence and planning, supporting Shopee’s data-driven decision making across teams. What you will do

• Collect needs from cross-functional teams and convert them into clear data specifications.
• Maintain the correctness and completeness of important operational, dashboard, and finance-related reports.
• Stay closely connected with stakeholders and product teams so reporting reflects the newest product and feature changes.
• Investigate abnormal KPI movements and other business issues, and troubleshoot them quickly and independently when needed.
• Partner with data engineers to improve how data moves from source systems into data marts.
• Perform analysis on business problems within demanding timelines.
• Work with large-scale data in a Hadoop-based environment and help safeguard data pipeline reliability together with engineering teams.
• Create, automate, and sustain mission-critical reports that support day-to-day business requirements.

What the role asks for

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong command of Excel and practical experience handling large datasets with SQL, Python, PySpark, and Hadoop tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical capability, with experience delivering data-led analysis under pressure.
• The ability to produce analytical suggestions and business insights for senior leadership.
• Background in e-commerce or internet companies.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to organize tasks efficiently.
