Role overview

System One is hiring a Data Analyst for a contract assignment in Pensacola, FL. The position follows a hybrid setup with both onsite and remote work.

Core responsibilities

  • Help shape technical requirements by defining data elements, business rules, and data quality standards, while also supporting user acceptance testing and research into data accuracy, validation, and integrity.
  • Support required reporting by carrying out data quality audits and analytical checks.
  • Gather and assemble datasets using different tools to help forecast, improve, and measure business-to-business performance outcomes.
  • Record processes for collecting, cleansing, and governing data so that work remains transparent, repeatable, and aligned with governance expectations.
  • Prepare raw data for analysis, organize it, and produce descriptive statistics for business intelligence and data science efforts.
  • Work with senior colleagues to present findings and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teammates on projects and broader team initiatives.
  • Perform data research and write queries for smaller analytics tasks.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of the business environment and operating context.
  • Ability to manipulate data and use scripting tools such as SQL, Python, or R, along with strong data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
  • Good analytical capability for handling and preparing data.
  • Ability to interpret, extrapolate, and interpolate data for statistical research and modeling.
  • Familiarity with data structures and the use of visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel to extract and present data.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related quantitative field.
