Job description
About the Team
Members of the Regional SPX Business Intelligence team do more than track performance or prepare reports. Their work involves deep-dive analysis using data to shape important decisions across Regional Marketplace and Fulfilment Operations.
This role suits someone who likes to get into complex problems directly and turn data into practical solutions that can support meaningful business improvements.
You’ll gain exposure to many areas of the business while contributing to major initiatives that improve the user experience. Your work will connect with teams across Regional Marketplace and Fulfilment Operations, as well as Data Science/Engineering and Product. You will also receive coaching, training, and support designed to help you build valuable skills and develop your career.
Job Description
- Analyse large datasets and turn them into dashboards and visual reports that support planning and informed business decisions.
- Interpret both business and technical needs so you can create reports that give stakeholders clear, useful insights.
- Help develop and maintain the data foundation, including pipelines, consolidated datasets, reports, and dashboards, so key operational metrics can be tracked for efficiency, impact, and outcomes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders from cross-functional and product teams across multiple markets to create, test, and roll out new processes and systems.
Requirements
- Must be currently studying for a bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Strong command of SQL and Python is required.
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive SQL, and Spark; ETL tools; visualization platforms like Tableau or Looker; and statistical methods such as hypothesis testing, regression, and data modelling is preferred.
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Full-time interns are preferred for a period of 3 to 6 months.
- Part-time students who can commit at least 3 working days per week are also welcome.
Additional Information
This opportunity is based in Singapore and follows an on-site working arrangement. It is a part-time internship-style role, with preference for full-time interns who can stay for 3 to 6 months, though part-time availability is also considered if the candidate can commit a minimum of 3 working days each week.
Eligibility
Applicants should be bachelor’s degree students, preferably from a quantitative discipline. Candidates who can work part-time with at least 3 working days per week may apply, alongside those available full-time.
