The Data Analyst at DP Centre is a junior-level, part-time position located in Melbourne, Victoria, with flexibility to work remotely on certain days. The role focuses on gathering, cleaning, and structuring training and operational data to aid course formulation, evaluate instructor effectiveness, and generate reports for marine consultancy operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will conduct fundamental statistical analyses, develop dashboards and reports, and help model data to detect trends related to DP training results and consultancy projects. Collaboration with instructional and operational teams is essential to comprehend data requirements. The analyst will prepare accessible visual summaries for stakeholders and assist continuous enhancement of training and technical services. Responsibilities also include ensuring data integrity, maintaining documentation of analytical methods, and supporting process improvements in data handling.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess strong analytical acumen with an ability to extract insights from both structured and unstructured data. Foundational proficiency in statistics and quantitative techniques is needed to support reporting and analysis tasks. Skills in data modeling and database or spreadsheet management are necessary for effective organization and integration of datasets. Effective verbal and written communication skills are important for conveying results to diverse audiences.
