Role Summary

This contract position is for a Business Data Analyst working remotely from anywhere in Canada. The role is focused on turning large, complex datasets into practical insights that can guide business choices.

Core Responsibilities

Gather data, clean and organize it, and run statistical analyses on sizable datasets to identify patterns and trends.
Create and update dashboards and reports that clearly present key performance indicators and business insights.
Work with teams across functions to understand data needs and make sure analytics outputs support business goals.
Prepare on-demand reports and visual presentations to help different departments make informed decisions.
Check data for accuracy and consistency through validation steps and quality control reviews.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to write SQL queries and work with relational databases.
Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling methods.
Proficiency in Python or R for data handling and analysis.
Comfort using Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
Careful attention to detail and the ability to work with limited supervision.
Clear communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical audiences.

Work Arrangement
