Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team either based in St. Louis, MO or remotely. The selected individual will play a crucial role in managing comprehensive data reporting and supporting software platforms essential to our energy efficiency programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update interactive dashboards and visualizations using Salesforce and Tableau to display program-related data.
- Develop customized reports aligning with business needs using innovative methods and best practices.
- Extract, validate, and reconcile datasets from various systems and sources.
- Perform comparative analysis of actual figures against forecasts or previous periods to identify significant trends and variances.
- Document reporting processes, definitions, and maintain accuracy in all related paperwork.
- Identify opportunities to automate or enhance manual data reporting procedures.
- Promote effective data visualization standards, dashboard design principles, and narrative analytics techniques.
- Collaborate with program teams to fulfill ad-hoc data requests and ensure the accuracy of client-facing information.
- Coordinate with software teams to develop dashboards, integrate systems, and improve data reporting flexibility.
- Assist in database creation and process enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
- Operate and integrate proprietary company software and project management systems.
- Guarantee the quality, precision, and integrity of all data deliverables.
- Monitor project schedules and track billable hours as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related fields preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in data analysis, mining, and visualization.
- Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable project management software.
- Strong capability to communicate complex data clearly and compellingly through visuals.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving prowess, and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with solid time management and follow-through abilities.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Familiarity with concepts in energy efficiency, environmental science, or sustainability.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Experience in utility or energy efficiency programs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, Python, Power Automate, Redshift, or other data management tools is a plus, but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $54000 to $80000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
