Job description
About the Team
DashMart is DoorDash’s convenience retail concept. Customers place orders for everyday essentials in the DoorDash app, and team members in the store prepare those items for delivery from a physical location.
The assortment includes grocery and convenience staples, along with specialty and artisanal food products. The store works with major brands as well as smaller local makers, chefs, and craftspeople.
Available shifts include morning, day, evening, weekend, and part-time coverage.
Role Overview
This position focuses on making sure customer orders are accurately prepared, inventory is managed correctly, the workspace stays organized, and order substitutions are checked with customers when needed.
Key Duties
- Pick items from incoming app orders, pack them carefully, and pass completed orders to delivery drivers.
- Receive stock, track inventory levels, and monitor product shelf life to reduce spoilage.
- Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and well organized.
- Confirm that any substitutions are approved by the customer before finalizing the order.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting base pay is CAD 18.65 per hour. Overnight shifts between 10pm and 6am receive an additional CAD 2 per hour.
Regular employees receive a broader benefits package that includes paid time off, paid parental leave, wellness support, and paid holidays.
Full-time employees are also eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability insurance, basic life insurance, an RRSP with employer matching, and access to a mental health program.
Additional perks mentioned include health benefits starting on day one for full-time staff, gym membership reimbursement of up to CAD 75 per month, sick leave, and opportunities to grow into more senior roles.
Candidate Profile
The right person is self-driven, positive, and comfortable working as part of a team. Experience in a retail environment is preferred, and the role requires standing for long periods and handling warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation.
A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is required.
