Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper zoning of the Dairy/Frozen department to ensure it is always presentable and ready for customers.
• Regularly rotate stock and inspect for expired items to guarantee product freshness and quality standards are met.
• Ensure merchandise is accurately priced, signed, and labeled according to established protocols including ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and flagging.
• Comply with cold chain management, food safety, and sanitation standards such as checking temperatures, calibrating thermometers, proper handling, monitoring sell-by and expiration dates, and following cleaning procedures.
• Maintain merchandising features and support promotional initiatives within the department.
• Keep the work area tidy, free from hazards by promptly removing debris or spills, and adhere to company policies as well as health and safety guidelines.
• Remain flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with business requirements, helping to maintain smooth store operations and consistent customer service.

Challenges

• Effectively manage overnight shifts by planning to sustain energy and focus during extended hours.
• Handle a high volume of restocking and recovery tasks efficiently and accurately within a fast-paced setting.
• Perform physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, as well as repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning to uphold store standards.

The starting hourly pay for this position is $17.75.
