Position Overview

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the Dairy/Frozen section’s cleanliness, organization, and zoning to ensure it remains inviting and customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and verify expiration dates to uphold product freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage following prescribed ordering, clearance, markup, markdown, flagging, and labeling procedures.
• Comply strictly with cold chain and food safety protocols including consistent temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper handling, and sanitation practices.
• Support merchandising efforts by maintaining current department features to promote sales and adhere to merchandising standards.
• Keep the workspace safe, clean, and free of hazards by promptly removing debris and spills, and following all company policies and health and safety rules.
• Be flexible with work schedule, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to help maintain smooth store operations.

Challenges in This Role

• Manage a high workload efficiently in a fast-paced and often overnight schedule, requiring good planning and stamina.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., along with repetitive stocking and organizing activities that demand attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.65 CAD.
