Cyber Security Officer - MEA

Role Overview

This position is focused on leading cybersecurity strategy and execution across the Middle East and Africa region. The role connects headquarters cybersecurity teams with local markets, ensuring global standards are translated into practical regional implementations that fit business needs, regulations, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between headquarters cybersecurity teams and MEA business units.
• Adapt global cybersecurity policies into localized requirements and workable solutions for the region.
• Share structured regional input with headquarters on regulations, customer demands, and market gaps.
• Shape and drive the MEA cybersecurity strategy in line with overall business objectives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and market trends to support forward-looking decisions.
• Position cybersecurity as a driver of business value and competitive advantage.
• Advise customers, regulators, and partners as a trusted cybersecurity subject matter expert.
• Support strategic bids, commercial negotiations, and executive-level conversations.
• Explain cybersecurity value in terms of customer benefit, compliance, and readiness.
• Lead regional alignment with IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, and applicable local requirements.
• Drive localization of security frameworks, certifications, and compliance baselines.
• Support interactions with regulators and represent the organization externally where required.
• Define the target cybersecurity architecture for wind turbine generators, SCADA, and OT environments.
• Guide the creation of standardized solutions that can still be adjusted to local needs.
• Embed secure-by-design principles across products and offerings.
• Oversee cybersecurity integration throughout major regional projects.
• Ensure contract commitments are reflected accurately in delivery and operational execution.
• Manage regional cybersecurity risks and respond to major incidents when needed.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, OEMs, EPCs, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Help shape supplier and partner cybersecurity expectations.
• Support the company’s positioning in policy, industry, and ecosystem discussions across the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in OT security, SCADA, industrial control systems, power systems, or renewable energy.
• Background supporting critical infrastructure, utility-scale renewable projects, transmission systems, or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols and OT system architectures.
• Good exposure to MEA markets and the relevant regulatory landscape.
• Experience handling cybersecurity needs across design, testing, commissioning, and operational stages.
• Business-level English communication skills.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
