About the Role
Join pHera, a pioneering femtech startup at pre-seed stage, focused on creating an ultra-precise, smartphone-interpreted vaginal pH test. Leveraging computer vision and AI, pHera aims to deliver lab-quality diagnostic precision accessible anytime and anywhere, empowering women and healthcare providers with reliable health insights.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and refine computer vision algorithms ensuring consistent performance across various smartphone models and lighting conditions.
- Implement personalized result interpretation using Bayesian hierarchical models and time-series analysis to establish individual baselines and identify significant health changes.
- Integrate model outputs with concise, scientifically supported explanations by applying large language models enhanced with retrieval and citation grounding.
- Create robust evaluation, monitoring systems, and data workflows designed with privacy compliance suitable for regulated healthcare environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Preferred candidate located in Berlin, though remote candidates in Europe are welcome.
- Strong enthusiasm for working within an early-stage, science-driven startup focused on female health.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, highly self-motivated, and proactive in approach.
