Job description
Position summary
We are looking for a Customs & Logistics Officer to oversee customs clearance, import and export movement, and day-to-day logistics for power transformers and associated parts. This position focuses on keeping all shipments compliant with Saudi requirements, ensuring materials arrive on time, and coordinating smoothly with both internal teams and outside partners.
Core responsibilities
- Oversee import and export customs clearance work and complete the required shipping documents.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant government bodies to keep shipments moving.
- Organize transportation by road, sea, and air while prioritizing safe and punctual delivery.
- Track adherence to Saudi customs rules and international logistics standards.
- Resolve customs and freight-related issues and help close them quickly.
- Work closely with procurement, production, sales, and finance to keep logistics aligned with project timelines.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a closely related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in customs clearance and logistics, ideally in manufacturing or power equipment environments.
- Good working knowledge of Saudi customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
- Prior experience with transformer, heavy equipment, or industrial logistics is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional English skills are required.
- Saudi nationals are preferred.
- Capability to deal directly with customs, tax, and regulatory authorities.
