Job description

About the team

The Customer Success function within DoorDash’s In-Store business is a core part of the customer experience. It is a diverse, internationally distributed team focused on helping clients reach their commercial goals through thoughtful problem-solving, strong product expertise, and data-led guidance, all with a customer-first mindset. The team is made up of people who build relationships well, think creatively, act quickly, and stay genuinely focused on customer outcomes.

About the role

DoorDash is hiring a Customer Success Specialist to drive long-term customer success by supporting accounts across the full lifecycle, including implementation, training, and adoption. The role is important in helping customers receive an excellent experience and uncover opportunities to grow their business. You will work to reduce churn, improve ROI visibility, and keep accounts healthy through proactive engagement. Your efforts will influence adoption, engagement, and retention across the platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of customers and ensure strong account health and adoption, while working toward gross and net retention goals and surfacing expansion opportunities for the account development team.
  • Create and maintain success plans that help customers achieve their objectives, while building trusted relationships with key decision-makers and executive sponsors through the company’s products and services.
  • Keep customer data accurate so important metrics, especially ROI, can be tracked effectively; review insights and suggest actions that improve revenue outcomes and demonstrate business impact.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the In-Store platform to provide both technical and commercial guidance, support adoption, and help clients get the most value from their investment.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the In-Store organization to help deliver high-quality, thoughtful solutions to customers.

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or the Hospitality sector, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively and credibly across all organizational levels, including executive and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and rolling out systems and processes for internal communication, with a track record of managing several priorities at once while staying detail-oriented.
  • A strong interest in helping customers succeed, plus natural curiosity about business problems and how to solve them.
  • Comfort working in collaborative settings and partnering with cross-functional teams while keeping customer outcomes at the center.

About SevenRooms

SevenRooms was founded in 2011 by Joel Montaniel, Allison Page, and Kinesh Patel after identifying a gap in hospitality software: the lack of useful guest data. The company began with a mission to help restaurants better understand and serve guests, and it has since grown into a platform used by merchants globally.

Its tools for marketing, operations, and guest experience are tightly connected with its CRM, helping operators increase revenue, simplify operations, and create experiences that encourage repeat visits.

In 2025, DoorDash acquired SevenRooms to strengthen its in-store strategy and expand merchant-focused offerings. Together, the two companies combine DoorDash’s scale, reach, and digital innovation with SevenRooms’ in-store capabilities to support hospitality businesses across the full customer journey, from discovery and delivery to dine-in.

As DoorDash expands its in-store business, SevenRooms continues to play a major role in helping merchants grow and connect more meaningfully with guests, whether they are ordering online or dining onsite. The acquisition reflects DoorDash’s broader commitment to helping local businesses succeed, build stronger customer connections, and create technology that serves merchants and their customers wherever they are.
