About GoTab

GoTab is a restaurant commerce platform designed to help restaurants, breweries, bars, hotels, and similar venues operate efficiently and improve the guest experience. Its system supports ordering and payment through staff, guest mobile devices, or a combined tab experience, using an integrated POS, mobile ordering and payment tools, and kitchen display systems. Guests do not need to install an app or create an account. Established in 2016 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, the company supports hundreds of accounts across the United States, Australia, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Role Overview

This position is focused on providing prompt and accurate technical plus operational help to operators, staff members, and end-users. You will develop strong product knowledge, resolve issues as they happen, and deliver clear guidance with confidence, especially during night and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle urgent technical and operational questions by phone and chat.
  • Act as a knowledgeable product specialist and dependable technical contact for partners.
  • Explain solutions clearly and ensure any unresolved items are tracked through completion.
  • Relay customer insights that can improve usability and overall product performance.
  • Diagnose issues involving hardware, software, networks, and mobile operating systems.

Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to manage several issues at once while keeping priorities organized.
  • Fast learner with a proactive mindset suited to a startup-style environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with remote work experience.
  • Motivation to build deep technical understanding of the GoTab platform.
  • Experience in hospitality or restaurants is strongly preferred.
  • Availability for nights and weekends is required, and schedules may change based on business demand.
  • Comfort with technical basics such as IP addresses, QR code behavior, and iOS/Android systems.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is USD 22 to 24 per hour, and the role is remote within the United States.
