Job Overview

This position is based in one of Amazon's authorized corporate offices in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on developing core skills in managing vendor relationships and directly enhancing customer experiences within Amazon's retail platform. As a Customer Success Manager, you will coordinate vendor activities, implement strategic business plans, and hone analytical and collaborative abilities that fuel growth in Amazon Vendor Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor initiatives and carry out tactical business plans aimed at boosting growth and elevating customer satisfaction.
  • Examine performance data to create insights and recommendations that optimize vendor adoption and return on investment.
  • Establish and maintain dependable partnerships with vendors, acting as their primary contact for everyday concerns.
  • Guide vendors on effectively using Amazon's tools, policies, and programs, while escalating any risks or obstacles as necessary.
  • Identify areas where team processes can be enhanced and contribute to operational efficiencies.
  • Utilize internal AI tools to streamline workflows and accelerate resolution of challenges.

Typical Daily Activities

  • Analyze vendor performance reports and prepare summaries for team discussions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to address vendor questions and coordinate solutions.
  • Lead vendor meetings by managing agendas and promoting in-depth conversations.
  • Facilitate project progression by monitoring statuses, spotting bottlenecks, and escalating issues.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and help document process improvements.

The Customer Success Manager acts as the central point for vendor interactions with Amazon, providing troubleshooting, business analysis, and planning support. To assist vendors effectively, Amazon develops unique tools and prioritized services to promote growth and proactive management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • Capability to prioritize and manage time efficiently in fast-paced settings.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of experience working directly with vendors or clients in account management, vendor management, buying, planning, or merchandising.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Pivot Tables, macros, SQL, Tableau, or Quicksight.
  • Proven use of data metrics to enhance operational processes and customer experiences.
  • Four or more years of vendor or client-facing experience.
  • Background in retail, e-commerce, or technology sectors.
  • Project coordination or operational support experience.
  • Experience leveraging internal AI tools to improve efficiency and expedite problem resolution.
