Compensation
The role pays $16 per hour.
Key Duties
- Answer incoming calls related to electric and gas service inquiries.
- Explain billing information, including charges, payment choices, and assistance options.
- Offer accurate guidance and practical resolutions while maintaining a strong customer experience.
- Work toward resolving customer concerns on the first contact whenever possible.
- Recognize chances to recommend relevant additional services or upgrades.
- Support account updates such as personal information and service changes.
- Record customer conversations in the call tracking platform.
- Handle calls of varying complexity in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay composed under pressure while meeting deadlines and performance targets.
- Take on other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
- At least 1 year of call center experience is preferred.
- Strong experience delivering quality customer support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to show empathy and maintain a positive, professional presence.
- Comfort with change and the ability to adjust quickly.
- Capable of researching information efficiently within time limits.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, work schedules, and punctuality standards.
- Fast and accurate typing, effective mouse use, and basic familiarity with Windows-based systems.
- Strong confidentiality practices when handling customer data.
- Ability to work with difficult customers while staying professional.
Work From Home Requirements
- Reliable high-speed internet with a wired ethernet connection is required; Wi-Fi alone will not be accepted.
- Minimum download speed of 10 Mbps.
- Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps.
- A quiet, distraction-free dedicated workspace is required.
- InteLogix will supply a computer for the duration of the role.
- A personal device is required for two-factor authentication.
