Role overview

This remote healthcare customer service position supports consumers from California and acts as the connection point between healthcare providers and members. The role involves explaining benefits, responding to questions, and helping people understand their healthcare choices. Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from customers seeking help with healthcare benefits and related services.
  • Listen carefully to each caller to understand their concerns and what they need.
  • Look up information in multiple systems to solve questions and issues efficiently.
  • Explain healthcare options clearly, accurately, and in a helpful manner.
  • Maintain service quality while managing a large number of customer interactions.
  • Adhere to assigned schedules, including break and lunch times.
  • Record each interaction correctly in the CRM platform.
  • Join training sessions and skill-building programs to strengthen product knowledge and service ability.
  • Work with supervisors and teammates to improve overall service delivery.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of prior customer service experience.
  • Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and active listening abilities.
  • Comfort using computers and Windows-based software.
  • A private, distraction-free workspace at home.
  • Reliable wired internet with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including scheduled breaks and lunch periods.
