About the Role

The Hartford is seeking a dedicated Customer Relationship Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on providing an exceptional experience for existing policyholders, third parties, and agents by addressing their insurance-related questions, inquiries, and concerns. You will engage with customers primarily through inbound telephone calls, managing a variety of policy-related matters. This position is designated as remote, with the understanding that occasional office visits may be required for departmental meetings, learning sessions, and other business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage and guide customers towards utilizing digital self-service options.
  • Take proactive ownership to exceed customer expectations on every interaction, leveraging each touchpoint to enhance value and strengthen the The Hartford brand.
  • Provide direct assistance to customers via telephone.
  • Successfully complete a mandatory 9-week training program with no absences, demonstrating the ability to learn insurance products and processes.
  • Adhere strictly to the committed training and work schedules.
  • Maintain a dedicated, distraction-free workspace throughout work and training hours.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record in customer service, call center operations, insurance, retail, or the restaurant industry.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment while efficiently managing multiple software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to show empathy towards both customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing situations and requirements.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational background is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered a significant advantage.

Internet Requirements

For this full-time remote position, reliable high-speed broadband internet is essential. We do not support DSL, wireless, Wi-Fi, Hotspots, or Fiber without a modem. Your internet provider's modem/router/gateway must be hardwired to the company-issued computer via an Ethernet cable. A minimum upload speed of 10Mbps and a download speed of 300Mbps is required. Compensation

The provided annualized base pay range reflects our analysis of similar roles in the market. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and demonstrated competencies. This base pay is part of a comprehensive total compensation package at The Hartford, which may also include bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this position is $46,222 - $69,333.
