About Covetrus

Covetrus is an international leader in animal-health technology and services. The company supports veterinary practice partners with products, services, and technology through one connected platform designed to help customers achieve better clinical and financial results. Its purpose is driven by a commitment to improving the health of animals and supporting the people who care for them.

Role Overview

Covetrus is hiring a full-time, permanent Customer Service Officer for its Auckland branch. This position sits within a close-knit team focused on delivering outstanding service to veterinary customers. The role involves handling customer enquiries, offering advice and troubleshooting support, managing calls, processing orders, and completing administrative tasks.

Candidates with knowledge or training in animal health, veterinary practice, or veterinary medicine are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Duties

  • Respond to customer phone enquiries and assist with general product questions.
  • Make sure customer requests and orders are handled according to company procedures.
  • Address complaints and work toward a suitable resolution, or route them to the right person when needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer and client records in internal systems.
  • Use product knowledge to give customers correct guidance on the company’s services and animal-health range.
  • Carry out administration tasks, order entry, email communication, and CRM-based data updates.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should bring strong customer service capability and experience working in a high-service environment. You’ll also need solid administration and order-processing skills, along with clear verbal and written communication. The position calls for someone who can prioritize tasks, follow up until issues are resolved, and work well with internal teams. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and adaptability when processes change are also important.

Experience in animal health, veterinary practice, or animal-health-related training is highly desirable.

  • Discounts on animal-health food and enrichment products.
  • Access to Perkbox/Boost apps for shopping discounts and health and wellbeing resources.
  • Extra leave options, including birthday leave, paid parental leave, and the option to buy additional leave.
  • Flexible hybrid work-from-home arrangements and dog-friendly offices in selected roles and locations.
  • Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program access.
  • Recognition through bi-annual Values Awards and Service Anniversary Awards.
  • Professional development through Leadership Development and Emerging Leadership courses.
  • Annual flu vaccinations.
  • Annual volunteer days.
