Role Overview
We are looking to hire a full-time Apparel Logistics Specialist to be based at our New York headquarters. This role involves overseeing the entire apparel supply chain operations, coordinating exports, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with retailer standards. Applicants should have practical experience in apparel production logistics and be familiar with the compliance demands and expectations of retailers in this sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily apparel supply chain activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage coordination of domestic and global shipments, including export documentation.
- Monitor production schedules to guarantee timely delivery to retail partners.
- Ensure compliance with retailer routing guidelines and export regulations.
- Maintain ongoing communication with internal departments such as Sales, Production, and Customer Service.
- Liaise with retail partners, overseas manufacturers, and freight forwarding agents.
- Track shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Contribute to refining processes to enhance logistics efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years of direct experience in the apparel industry, specifically in supply chain or logistics roles (experience outside apparel will not be considered).
- Hands-on expertise in managing apparel shipments and supply chain functions.
- Understanding of apparel export protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with overseas vendors and manufacturing facilities.
- Excellent communication abilities for coordination with retailers and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced apparel environment.
- Proven follow-up skills and problem-solving aptitude.
- Capable of handling multiple deadlines efficiently.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $67,000 to $75,000, with the final offer depending on relevant skills and prior experience.
