Job description
Role Summary
An established pharmaceutical company is looking for a Customer Service and Logistics Manager based in Dublin. This contract position requires a hybrid working approach with at least three days on-site weekly, starting as soon as possible. The role entails hands-on coordination of international shipments without direct reports, focused on ensuring timely and accurate delivery and collection of products.
Key Duties
- Coordinate product pickups and deliveries across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
- Handle shipments transported via road, sea, and air freight modes.
- Organize collections and shipments with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics vendors.
- Prepare and upkeep transport and customs paperwork.
- Manage receipt of essential shipping documentation from suppliers.
- Generate purchase orders, process goods receipts, and assist in invoice preparation.
- Create road freight tasks using the internal transport management system.
- Track documentation and logistics to ensure shipments meet scheduled timelines.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service team and 3PL partners to coordinate ocean and air shipments.
- Serve as the primary contact for supplier delivery inquiries.
- Address and resolve issues related to transportation, documentation, and billing.
- Forge strong partnerships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain detailed and accurate shipment and order logs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, or order management.
- Hands-on understanding of logistics workflows and necessary documentation.
- Experience in managing road, ocean, and/or air freight operations.
- Familiarity with customs paperwork and transportation documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and shipments simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proactive, personable, and team-oriented character.
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of SAP systems for managing purchase orders, receipts, and invoicing.
- Experience liaising directly with carriers, freight forwarders, or 3PL providers.
- Background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated sectors.
- Experience in handling shipments spanning multiple international regions.
Additional Information
This is a contract role based in Dublin requiring a minimum onsite presence of three days weekly, with the start date as soon as possible. The hiring organization is a leading pharmaceutical company.
