Role overview
As a Customer Sales Executive based in Panipat, Haryana, you will represent PepsiCo in the market and manage one or more distributors across businesses of varying scale. The role focuses on building and executing joint business plans, strengthening sales capability, and creating steady growth in sales performance.
You will support distributor business expansion by coaching the distributor and/or the sales team, helping resolve market issues, and driving additional business growth.
Responsibilities
Market execution
- Achieve monthly secondary sales targets and deliver gross revenue growth.
- Design route plans in a way that improves productivity.
- Expand net distribution by increasing the number of outlets being served.
- Improve weighted distribution by raising SKU presence in current outlets.
- Maintain stock availability and execute rack placement according to the agreed planogram.
- Build strong market relationships to improve customer satisfaction.
Training and communication
- Provide one-to-one coaching to PSRs to strengthen their sales knowledge and business understanding.
- Set monthly targets for each salesperson.
- Work alongside salespeople in the market to improve execution.
- Track sales performance through regular reports.
- Share incentive information and motivate the sales team to meet goals.
Distributor management
- Handle distributor, hub, and spoke appointments and retirements across territories.
- Improve distributor health and ROI by ensuring compliance with the joint business plan.
- Share responsibility for hiring and retaining sales representatives.
- Reduce expiry and stale inventory by following FIFO and product stacking standards.
- Monitor that orders are delivered correctly and on time in the market.
- Ensure every distributor follows food compliance requirements.
- Support the distributor’s growth in PepsiCo sales capabilities.
Requirements
- Understanding of FMCG sales and distribution models.
- Comfort using computers and tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Local language knowledge is preferred; basic English is also needed.
- Ability to work with data and ROI models.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and people-management abilities.
- Good time management, critical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Education: undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
