Job description
About the role
This position is a hands-on customer field role focused on helping keep communities connected. You’ll combine technical know-how with a customer-first approach to make a visible difference for homes and businesses across Australia.
Working in a field services team, you’ll handle a broad mix of tasks across the network and at customer premises. The work varies from day to day and centres on delivering fast, high-quality service with professionalism and care.
The role is largely focused on nbn’s fibre network, covering installation, repair, and maintenance activities. You’ll be part of a team that supports coaching, mentoring, and career growth.

Applicants need to be based in the Mildura area.
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll be an independent, driven self-starter who can work with confidence and take ownership of outcomes. The role calls for strong experience in fault finding, assurance work, and installations across copper and fibre networks.
You should be comfortable learning in a complex industry and developing your skills on the job. An ACMA licence is preferred, along with a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Telecommunications.
As a regional technician, you will represent nbn in the community, support others as a mentor, and act as a champion for health, safety, and environment standards.

Hiring process note
This is a permanent role. The position is advertised internally first for 5 days, and candidates are asked to inform their current manager before applying. To be considered, you must have full working rights in Australia.
