Customer Delivery Driver - St Austell Daniels Lane Superstore

Overview

Serve as Tesco's representative on the road by delivering exceptional service directly to customers’ homes in the St Austell area. This role involves more than just driving—it’s about offering assistance, handling deliveries carefully, and engaging with customers positively.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 09:00 to 19:00
• Tuesday: 18:00 to 22:00
• Friday: 18:00 to 23:00
• Saturday: 18:00 to 23:00

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work areas to ensure customers receive goods in excellent condition.
• Load the vehicle securely and perform all safety and roadworthiness checks before starting deliveries.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers about any changes to their orders such as substitutions or short-dated products, and facilitate refunds as needed to preserve a smooth experience.
• Handle all products with utmost care, treating every order as if it were your own to uphold product quality and customer trust.
• Deliver products punctually within allotted time slots, providing friendly and warm service that leaves customers feeling valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (manual or automatic) for at least one year without exceeding three penalty points.
• Demonstrate ability to build strong teamwork and communication with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
• Be approachable and welcoming towards both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt swiftly to changes in customer needs and dynamic work environments, both on the road and at the store.
