Customer Delivery Driver - Leytonstone Superstore

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be the company's representative on the road, delivering shopping directly to customers' homes while providing excellent service with a friendly demeanor. This position is hands-on, physical, and offers diverse daily experiences. You will usually work independently but have managerial and team support available at the store whenever needed.

Working Hours

• Available daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and working area to ensure all deliveries arrive in ideal condition.
• Safely load the delivery van and perform thorough checks to confirm the vehicle is safe and ready for use.
• Communicate politely with customers regarding any modifications to their orders, substitutions, or short-dated items, and manage refunds when necessary to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Handle all products with utmost care to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the specified customer time slots, offering warm and genuine service at their doorstep to make customers feel valued and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues to foster a positive team environment and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Be approachable and welcoming to both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace operational changes both while driving and in-store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
