Customer Delivery Driver - Culverhouse Cross Extra

About the Role

This position involves representing Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver, providing service by delivering orders directly to customers' homes. The job is dynamic and physically engaging, requiring a friendly demeanor, strong customer service skills, and reliable driving. Shifts vary daily, providing a diverse workload. Drivers operate mostly independently but have access to support from store managers and colleagues.

• Sunday: 12:00 to 23:00
• Monday: 12:00 to 23:00

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their shopping in excellent condition.
• Safely load the van and perform all vehicle checks to ensure it is safe and ready for delivery duties.
• Communicate any order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items to customers courteously, including handling refunds to keep the delivery experience positive.
• Handle products carefully, treating every order as if it were your own to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the customer’s scheduled time slot with a warm and genuine approach, making customers feel valued.

Requirements

• Build positive working relationships with colleagues to foster strong team spirit and deliver excellent customer service.
• Be warm, welcoming, and responsive to customers and coworkers alike.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace changes encountered while on the road or in-store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) for a minimum of 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
