Customer Delivery Driver - Bristol Brislington Extra

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco, you will represent the company directly to customers by delivering groceries and providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. This role requires physical activity and hands-on work, featuring varied daily tasks and independent responsibility supported by a manager and team at base.

Work Schedule

• Tuesday: 09:00 to 22:00
• Saturday: 09:00 to 23:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their orders in excellent condition.
• Safely load the van and perform checks to confirm it is fit for the road and reliable for deliveries.
• Communicate courteously with customers about any order adjustments, substitutions, or near-expiry items, offering refunds where appropriate to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each delivery with high regard for quality and trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within designated time slots, providing warm and natural service to make customers feel appreciated and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Build positive relationships with coworkers to foster team spirit and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Demonstrate a welcoming demeanor to both customers and colleagues.
• Adapt promptly to dynamic customer demands and embrace change both on the road and in the store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least one year, with no more than three penalty points.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 per hour for stores within the M25; some locations may offer additional pay.
• Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, with some roles from 12 hours available.
• Starting holiday entitlement of 20 days plus one personal day, rising to 22 days after 12 months, plus bank holidays.
