Job description
About the Role
Blue Nile is looking for a Customer Data Platform Specialist to help broaden the use and impact of its customer data platform across marketing and business teams. The position sits between marketing technology and customer intelligence, working closely with CRM, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Product partners to turn unified customer data into stronger personalization, lifecycle marketing, and measurable commercial results.
What You’ll Do
CDP Operations and Channel Integration
You will help connect marketing channels to the CDP, handle incoming platform requests and initiatives, and keep customer data accurate, consistent, and compliant within the company’s governance standards so teams can rely on a single customer view.
Use Case Development and Activation
You will work with marketing and business stakeholders to uncover, prioritize, and deliver valuable CDP use cases such as audience segmentation, lifecycle automation, and personalization. A key part of the role is activating unified customer profiles across channels to improve repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value.
Cross-Functional Enablement
You will turn business goals into technical requirements and keep different teams aligned. In practice, this means acting as the bridge between marketing strategy and technical delivery while helping drive organization-wide CDP adoption.
Measurement and Performance
You will define performance metrics for CDP initiatives, including indicators such as personalization lift, conversion, and retention. You’ll review results, identify ways to improve outcomes, and share insights clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
The role calls for 2–3+ years of experience in data-led marketing, customer analytics, or marketing technology. Candidates should be comfortable working with CDPs, CRM platforms, and digital marketing channels, and be proficient in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are important, along with the ability to convert data into practical recommendations for different audiences. The ideal person is curious, quick to learn, and able to collaborate independently and proactively.

- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage
- 401(k) plan with company match
