About the role

This position sits within Watercare’s contact centre and offers a strong work-life balance within a supportive team environment. As a Customer Champion focused on Billing & Payments, you will deliver high-quality service to customers and provide specialist guidance across water and wastewater billing matters.

Depending on operational needs, your contact centre and customer service experience may also be used in other areas of the Retail group, including Payments/Collections, New Connections, and Faults.

What we’re looking for

We’re after someone who puts customers first, communicates clearly, and stays calm in a busy, fast-moving setting. You should be comfortable with technology and enjoy working through problems to find practical solutions.

  • Experience in a busy, high-traffic contact centre handling multiple communication channels
  • Background in billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional phone manner
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at once while maintaining speed and accuracy
  • Structured and logical approach to analysing issues and resolving them

Working hours

The roster rotates across Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, with weekend coverage on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
