Job description
Role overview
This position is focused on delivering an excellent shopping experience across the store, from the sales floor to back-of-house tasks. It suits someone who enjoys a busy retail setting, learns quickly, and brings energy to every shift.
The standard contract is 30 hours per week, and the role is expected to pay €460+ per week.
Because the job includes alcohol sales, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Shift patterns
Early shifts: Starts at 5:00am or 6:00am and involve replenishing shelves, preparing bakery items, and getting the shop ready for opening.
Mid shifts: Begin in late morning or early afternoon and focus on keeping the store clean and well presented, helping customers, and supporting tills to reduce queues.
Late shifts: Start in the afternoon and center on serving customers at the till, refilling missing stock, and preparing the store for the following day.
Key duties
Provide customers with a friendly, helpful, and positive service experience.
Follow store procedures that help reduce stock loss.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the store and outside areas.
Apply freshness checks and rotation practices correctly.
Make sure waste is handled properly.
Support stock counting activities when required.

Pay and benefits

Hourly pay starts at €15.40 and rises to €17.90 after 3 years.
Additional pay applies for unsocial hours worked between 12:00am and 7:00am.

Pay details by year
Year 1: Base rate €15.40, unsocial hours €19.25, overtime/Sundays €23.10, bank holiday €30.80.
Year 2: Base rate €16.20, unsocial hours €20.25, overtime/Sundays €24.30, bank holiday €32.40.
Year 3: Base rate €16.90, unsocial hours €21.13, overtime/Sundays €25.35, bank holiday €33.80.
Year 4: Base rate €17.90, unsocial hours €22.38, overtime/Sundays €26.85, bank holiday €35.80.
