About the Role
We are seeking a Custody Tax Account Manager to join our Clearance & Custody team based in Sandyford, Dublin, on a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be the key local contact within the department for managing fiscal documentation and tax conventions related to client assets and accounts. This position is permanent and requires proactive management of tax relief and reclaim processes in close coordination with the Tax Hub, ensuring high service quality within agreed service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary local representative for queries on fiscal documentation and tax convention applications pertaining to client accounts.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of tax-related information received from the Tax Hub, including tax matrices and procedural documentation.
- Proactively manage the fiscal documentation process for clients subscribed to the ‘Tax Pack’, ensuring timely completion and renewal of necessary forms and accurate account setup.
- Collaborate regularly with the Tax Hub and Product teams, participating in service calls to monitor and assure service standards, escalating persistent or sensitive issues to management when needed.
- Address operational queries and issues promptly, acknowledging receipt within 24 hours and maintaining ongoing communication until resolved.
- Navigate and implement operational changes arising from local market updates, liaising with the Tax Hub, client account teams, and clients themselves to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Monitor Luxembourg tax pivot account breaks and verify justifications provided by the Tax Hub.
- Oversee activities of the DUAL and Hub office teams based in Portugal.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in securities services, with strong technical knowledge of global custody processes and products.
- Familiarity with tax processing and fiscal documentation is a significant advantage.
- Excellent client service skills combined with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with intermediaries and colleagues across various levels.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities, adept at prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and meeting deadlines.
- Highly autonomous, capable of initiating improvements in process workflows.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or another European language is considered beneficial.
