Job description
Role Overview
As a Custodian, you will help keep the workplace clean, orderly, and safe for employees and visitors. The role also supports product safety, quality, and legality while working on a Monday through Friday first-shift schedule.
Schedule and Location
This is a first-shift position scheduled from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The work location is Westpoint Blvd, Mooresville, IN.
Key Duties
- Sanitize and clean restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum flooring surfaces.
- Remove and empty waste bins.
- Keep outdoor walkways tidy by sweeping debris and washing pathways.
- Clean and shine fixtures.
- Monitor maintenance supplies and place orders when needed.
- Wash windows.
- Dust furniture and vacuum upholstered or other furniture surfaces.
- Collect and remove recyclable materials.
- Carry out assigned tasks by following set procedures and instructions.
- Work with close supervision and complete routine duties as directed.
- Handle general maintenance-related tasks.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, along with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. The position calls for strong written and verbal communication abilities, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work well in a team.
Physical and Workplace Requirements
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Capability to read, write, and understand information.
- Comfort with basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to use hands for handling, feeling, and fine motor tasks.
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the full shift.
- Visual acuity sufficient to carry out essential job duties.
- Ability to perform physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
