Custodian at The Beach Club

About the Role

Join Spectrum Resorts as a Custodian at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores, AL. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of all public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, patios, and more within the Beach Club.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough daily cleaning of all public areas in the Beach Club.
• Clean outdoor smoker urns every day.
• Sanitize all public restrooms daily to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Maintain cleanliness of elevator floors and walls, including vacuuming tracks as necessary.
• Clean glass doors and windows located in lobby areas as assigned.
• Sweep, mop, and dust offices and shared spaces within the Beach Club as scheduled.
• Empty trash cans three times per shift—morning, before lunch, and prior to end of day.
• Collect and dispose of trash and sweep curbs surrounding buildings.
• Submit maintenance work orders for any property issues detected.
• Adhere to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical use and safety precautions.
• Maintain and know locations of eyewash stations, ensuring they are properly stocked and functional.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and helpful manner when responding to their needs.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills and Physical Demands

• Strong customer service aptitude with positive attitude toward guest interactions.
• Capability to stand and walk for the full duration of the shift.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required.
• Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in using cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, and blowers.
