Role overview
The Culture & Engagement Manager will be responsible for shaping and driving initiatives that improve workplace culture, strengthen employee connection, and elevate engagement across the organization. This position calls for someone who can build strategy, measure cultural health, and roll out programs that encourage belonging, motivation, and high performance.
Key responsibilities
- Build and implement culture and employee engagement plans that reflect the company’s values, mission, and wider business goals.
- Create and deliver engagement programmes, recognition initiatives, internal events, and activities that enhance the workplace experience.
- Work closely with HR, leadership, communications, learning and development, and operations teams to improve alignment and cultural consistency.
- Track important metrics such as engagement scores, retention, satisfaction survey results, participation levels, eNPS, and culture alignment indicators.
- Run employee surveys, focus groups, feedback discussions, and sentiment reviews to understand the employee experience and identify improvement areas.
- Develop internal communication approaches that support openness, inclusion, collaboration, and company values.
- Support change management efforts by improving adoption, engagement, and cultural fit during organizational changes.
- Design recognition and reward frameworks that reinforce strong performance and desired behaviours.
- Study workforce trends, engagement data, and organizational behaviour to produce practical insights for leadership.
- Use HR systems, engagement platforms, survey software, Microsoft Office tools, Power BI, and analytics dashboards to monitor and improve results.
- Prepare engagement reports, culture assessments, executive dashboards, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Guide and support engagement specialists, HR coordinators, and cross-functional teams while encouraging accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant should bring strong experience in employee engagement, internal communications, HR, organizational development, or culture transformation. This role also requires the ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Communications, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- A master’s degree or professional certifications in HR, Organizational Development, Employee Experience, or Change Management would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in employee engagement, HR, organizational development, internal communications, or culture-focused roles.
- Preferably 2 or more years of experience leading engagement programmes or HR initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of organizational culture, employee experience design, engagement models, change management, and behavioural psychology.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, employee engagement tools, survey systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and analytics tools.
- Exposure to DEI initiatives, agile workplace approaches, AI-based HR analytics, and modern employee experience practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven capability in stakeholder management, facilitation, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to design initiatives that improve belonging, motivation, engagement, and overall performance.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
