Job description
About Synthesia
Synthesia is a leading AI video platform built for businesses and used by more than 90% of the Fortune 100. Established in 2017 and based in London, the company also operates teams and offices across Europe and the United States.
The product is designed to improve visual communication and support enterprise skill development, helping organizations work more effectively and keep people at the core of success. After a recent Series E round that brought in $200 million, Synthesia is valued at $4 billion, with total funding now above $530 million from investors such as Accel, NVentures, Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, as well as founders and leaders from Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
Role overview
This position is for a Culture Editor, not a traditional social media manager. The role is intended for someone deeply engaged in modern conversation, especially around AI and human creativity, and who wants to help shape that dialogue rather than simply post into it. The voice is meant to be thoughtful, culturally aware, and influential.
You will guide how Synthesia appears across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The focus is not only on publishing content, but on thinking strategically about what a leading AI company should sound like in culture and turning that point of view into action.
You will work from established brand foundations created by people with experience building some of the world’s most recognizable companies, while also helping evolve the social voice in ways that suit each platform’s language.
Team environment
You will report to the Head of Social Media and work with a six-person team that includes videographers, editors, and creators producing in-house content across multiple formats and channels. Your role is to help the team distribute work effectively, identify what performs best on each channel, and ensure strong ideas reach the right audience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Synthesia’s day-to-day and long-term presence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Develop the social narrative and voice around AI, creativity, and the future of work.
- Create a content calendar that keeps consistency without becoming formulaic.
- Interact with the community in a way that feels genuine, engaging, and thoughtful.
- Monitor performance, identify emerging trends, and understand when metrics tell the full story and when qualitative judgment matters more.
What the company is looking for
- You naturally think in terms of distribution and ask who the content is for, where it will resonate, and how it will be amplified.
- You have a real interest in AI and its impact on creativity and the future of work.
- You are optimistic about AI’s role in making work feel more human and want to communicate that perspective.
- You can tell when content succeeds or misses, and you are usually able to explain why; you rely on instinct first and data second.
- You write clearly and well, with a distinctive point of view and voice.
- You are organized enough to manage operations, but you would not enjoy a role focused only on administration.
- You are comfortable working without a strict brief and prefer room to shape ideas proactively.
Location and working style
This role is based in London or New York. It is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office.
Why Synthesia
The company describes itself as being at a stage similar to Airbnb, Stripe, or Figma before the wider market fully recognized their potential. Synthesia says it hires smart, kind, and highly driven people and gives them the space to do great work without unnecessary distractions.
