Role Overview
The Critical Cleaning Technician on the night shift plays a vital role in supporting all sanitation activities. This self-driven position focuses on executing sanitation schedules, cleaning equipment following Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures, and collaborating effectively with operations, maintenance, and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Clean equipment according to CIP Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform plant-wide cleaning in line with the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain general housekeeping across the facility.
- Disassemble and reassemble processing equipment such as filters and screens.
- Safely handle chemicals like acids, chlorines, caustics, and quaternary ammonium compounds.
- Test and document chemical concentrations accurately.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure equipment cleanliness.
- Carry out allergen absence analysis and equipment swabbing for cleanliness verification.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Possibly perform additional duties as assigned.
- Be available for overtime and weekend shifts as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard sanitation techniques.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with management and support personnel.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and allergen management.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of relevant experience in related fields.
Additional Information
- Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.
- Work hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Tuesday through Sunday.
- Location: Fresno, California.
- No travel is required.
- Work environment is manufacturing-based.
