Job Overview
This role is an entry to sub-journey level position for Criminalists focusing on DNA and biology analyses. Responsibilities include conducting routine and straightforward DNA examinations, supporting advanced Criminalists with scientific investigations, and assisting in processing physical evidence found at crime scenes.

Salary Details
The role has multiple salary ranges depending on experience and state status:
- Range A: $4,587 - $6,100 monthly
- Range B: $6,001 - $8,411 monthly
- Range C: $7,229 - $10,138 monthly
- Senior Criminalist Range: $7,935 - $11,151 monthly
New hires without prior state experience will start at the minimum of Range A unless qualified for alternate ranges. Salary determinations for current state employees depend on relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, starting July 1, 2025, temporary wage reductions will be implemented in exchange for Personal Leave Program accruals as per bargaining unit agreements.
