Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient, and prompt service to customers at all times.
• Prepare menu items following GYG's standardized procedures to ensure high-quality Mexican dishes.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to support fast service and superior customer experience.

Candidate Requirements and Skills

• Fluent English proficiency (advanced level especially if English is a second language).
• Possession of a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with high energy.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn point of sale (POS) and EFTPOS operations.
• Good understanding of Australian currency, payment systems, and loyalty card programs.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Patience and willingness to assist customers with their needs.
• Capability to maintain a clean, organized, and tidy workstation.
• Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the motivation to be constantly engaged in tasks.
• Team player who collaborates well with others to ensure smooth operation.

Additional Information

Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory; a positive attitude and enthusiasm are paramount. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager and operates under the franchised OTR Group for Guzman Y Gomez Restaurants.
