Job description
About Aajil
Aajil is building a new approach to B2B Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), helping small and medium businesses in construction and manufacturing access financing that is faster, more flexible, and easier to use. As a fast-growing fintech company, it is aiming to modernize traditional trade and create practical value for businesses that are often underserved.
This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys analytical work, takes ownership seriously, and wants to contribute to meaningful financial decisions at scale.
Role Overview
Credit is central to Aajil’s business model because every financing decision affects risk, capital allocation, and growth. The purpose of this role is to make sure those decisions are based on clear analysis, consistency, and sound judgment.
As a Credit Specialist, you will review customer creditworthiness, help inform financing decisions, and safeguard the quality of the credit process. You will work closely with internal teams and will be expected to turn financial information into practical insights that can guide action.
This is an early-career position with significant responsibility. Success in the role requires precision, organized thinking, and dependable execution.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will focus on credit analysis, decision support, process handling, and cross-team coordination.
- Examine financial statements and supporting documents to evaluate client creditworthiness.
- Use credit ratios and basic risk measures to prepare structured assessments.
- Draft concise credit recommendations and share findings with the relevant stakeholders.
- Work within established systems and workflows to process cases accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with internal teams to move each case through the credit journey smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is careful with details, able to notice inconsistencies in financial information, and comfortable drawing clear conclusions from numbers. You should be able to work within a defined process while still taking full responsibility for your output. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to stay organized and manage work independently are also important.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in credit, finance, accounting, or a similar area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field.
- Strong capability to read and interpret financial statements.
- Working knowledge of credit analysis and basic risk indicators such as liquidity and leverage ratios.
- Good organizational and time management ability.
- Ability to work independently while following structured workflows.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
Nice to Have
- Background in lending, fintech, or financial services.
- Exposure to SME credit assessment.
- Experience using credit systems or workflow tools.
- Awareness of sector-specific risks in construction and manufacturing.
Why Join Aajil

- Real ownership: You will handle meaningful challenges end-to-end and see the impact of your work.
- Accelerated growth: Early responsibility creates a strong learning curve through hands-on execution.
- Trust-first culture: The team values autonomy, ownership, and decision-making authority.
