Role overview

Crédit Agricole CIB is looking for a Trainee Officer to support the SCS team, with a primary focus on corporate credit files across the Corporate and Investment Banking franchise in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as accounts covered under Energy and Real Assets.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract that may be extended by another year based on performance. To be considered for this trainee role, applicants should have no more than 2 years of professional experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and refresh financial information in Anadefi.
  • Support Analysts in compiling annual reviews for corporate groups, including monitoring clients’ business developments and overall group limits.
  • Liaise with Front Office, regional teams, and HO RPC SCS as needed.
  • Record minutes during Credit Committee meetings.
  • Verify that credit-file information is correctly entered in Phidias and Eurecca before sign-off.
  • Maintain the weekly tracker for annual review deadlines and rating updates.
  • Carry out independent recalculations of financial covenants.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments from the Head, such as industry research, attending analyst briefings, and general administrative support for the credit unit.
  • Complete any additional projects or tasks assigned by the Head.

Legal and regulatory responsibilities

The role requires strict compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal compliance obligations, including the Singapore Compliance Manual and all applicable compliance policies and procedures. This also covers Financial Security requirements, such as measures to prevent financial crime and fraud, along with any reporting duties to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

The incumbent must keep their knowledge current and complete all required mandatory training to remain competent and qualified for the position.

Role requirements

  • A degree in Accountancy and Finance, Business Administration, or Risk Management.
  • Prior exposure to a risk team, including internship experience, is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of credit analysis principles is preferred.
  • Strong communication abilities and solid IT skills.
