Established in India in August 1993, the firm works across local and international markets with a focus on industry-led, technology-enabled delivery. Its footprint spans Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurugram, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Vadodara, and Vijayawada.

Why Join KPMG India

  • You will be part of an energetic environment that values new ideas and innovation.
  • The organization offers learning support, mentoring, and room for career growth.
  • Benefits are stated to include competitive compensation and health coverage, among other offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of BCO activities for a client portfolio in line with agreed OKRs, SLAs, and KPIs, including a portion of moderate-to-high complexity accounts that may take up around 30% of available time.
  • Lead the complete CCM process so that internal and external stakeholders experience a smooth, efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate with regional heads, WMR, and other stakeholders to close out optimization and transformation work effectively.
  • Set up, guide, and manage a largely ODC-based team, including workflow allocation, capability building, and timely delivery of the BCO model.
  • Improve team productivity while strengthening the client experience at the same time.
  • Support technology and digital adoption initiatives, aligned to a globally consistent C&L operating model.
  • Review customer and stakeholder feedback regularly and turn insights into actions that improve outcomes.
  • Work with the Head of BCO COE to escalate and resolve CCM-related risks and issues with country, regional, and global stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior management and Regional Sustainability Champions on net-zero transition initiatives and other strategic programs across BCO teams.
  • Continuously enhance credit analysis processes to ensure a consistently high standard of work.
  • Build trusted working relationships across teams and maintain credibility with both business and risk partners.
  • Develop and sustain a diverse, innovative, and engaged BCO team.
  • Join client or credit-risk discussions when required.
  • Act as a first line of defense and ensure that controls are followed to protect the bank.
  • Identify current and emerging risks across industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, and other dimensions; work with WCRM and business leaders to adjust underwriting criteria and carry out rapid portfolio reviews.
  • Maintain constructive, balanced dialogue with risk partners that supports both commercial objectives and risk discipline.
  • Ensure the right credit risk controls and management information are embedded in operational processes and tracked against agreed thresholds.
  • Handle talent management, performance management, and succession planning where applicable.
  • Coordinate with other USA co-leads to deliver CCM/BCO goals smoothly.
  • Run regular team exchanges and ensure action plans are created and executed for issue resolution.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture across the BCO team in line with Group Compliance Policy.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A Chartered Accountant, master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or an equivalent qualification is required; a CFA, Chartered Banker, or similar professional credential is preferred.
  • Where formal qualifications are not available, substantial experience in credit analysis or credit approvals may be considered.
  • Solid experience managing loan portfolios is necessary.
  • Experience leading senior stakeholders and contributing to organizational design and strategic planning is expected.
  • Investment banking knowledge is mandatory, including exposure to securities, treasury, foreign exchange, derivatives, ESG, and climate risk.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability is needed, along with the skill to summarize customer feedback and identify priority areas.
  • Hands-on expertise in credit underwriting is required, including preparing and reviewing wholesale lending proposals while following internal policy and regulatory requirements.
  • You should be able to structure credit proposals covering the business model, risks and mitigants, financial analysis, industry analysis, forecasting, cash flow modelling, risk rating, and business recommendations.
  • Strong financial statement analysis, cash flow modelling, and stress-testing skills are essential.
  • Experience monitoring credit exposure across varied portfolios and putting effective risk mitigation measures in place is required.
  • Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills are mandatory.
