Credit Manager - Retail Risk Operations at Aditya Birla Capital

This role involves managing risk and credit operations within retail transactions at Aditya Birla Capital, ensuring adherence to established principles and frameworks. The focus is on supporting portfolio quality and maintaining compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out risk and credit assessments for assigned basic transactions following defined guidelines across ABHFL business lines.
• Proactively seek input from senior personnel to deepen technical understanding and gain insights into state or property-specific factors essential for thorough risk evaluation of each case.
• Coordinate with ABFL Risk team members to obtain clarifications on legal and technical evaluations as necessary.
• Execute risk operations to optimize business outcomes while maintaining robust risk management standards.
• Collaborate closely with Credit Processing Analysts to verify that case documentation is properly logged before commencing credit operations.
• Engage in structured coordination with Sales and Operations departments to facilitate well-informed decisions and resolve issues aligning with business and risk priorities, escalating matters to the Risk Control Manager when needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to risk compliance protocols, prepare regular and ad hoc MIS reports, and manage escalation documentation.
• Implement local risk control practices following the 'Maker-Checker' approach in cooperation with Sales and Operations to oversee matters such as exception approvals, collateral valuations, post-dated cheque compliance, and cheque bounce follow-ups.
